Refund Policy

At Ascent STEM we are deeply grateful for every donation and registration made in support of our mission to expand access to hands-on STEM education. Because we operate as a nonprofit and use third-party platforms to process payments, we follow the policies outlined below:


1. Donations (GoFundMe and Similar Platforms)

All donations made to Ascent STEM through platforms like GoFundMe are considered final and non-refundable, except in the case of:

  • A technical error (e.g. duplicate charge or incorrect amount)
  • Fraudulent activity (e.g. stolen credit card use)

If you believe you’ve made a donation in error, please contact us within 7 days of the transaction, and we will do our best to resolve the issue or direct you to the platform’s support team.

2. Event Registrations (if applicable)

If Ascent STEM hosts an event that requires a registration fee:

  • Cancellations requested more than 48 hours before the event may be eligible for a full refund
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the event may not be refundable
  • If we cancel or postpone an event, all registrants will be offered a full refund or credit
